Over the course of his career, Mr. O’Brien has noted that the single most frequent client complaint has been the inability to get a response from the lawyer, whether to a letter or telephone call. Further, clients too often find that the lawyer they thought they were getting has delegated their matter to two or more junior lawyers in the firm. This means that the client gets billed for the time of the junior lawyers and the time of the senior lawyer correcting their work.
Mr. O’Brien practices alone. He has no partners, associates or secretarial staff. All clients have access to him directly, by telephone, fax, email and cell phone at all times, whether he be in the United States or abroad, as his practice sometimes requires.
